Nobel Tournament

Coldwater Holds its Annual Fun Day! BIG TURNOUT!!

The Coldwater Shuffleboard Club held its annual Fun Day Tournament with some 56 members participating.

Tournament director Lorraine Pollock and assistant Barb Pipher organized the 14 teams for the morning draw and two afternoon draws. Barbecued burgers for lunch were provided by the club.

Prizes were awarded to the top four females and top four males.

Nancy McLean, Shirley Bootsma, Joan Rabbitts and Linda Corkum won all three of their games and had points ranging from 1,169 to 935.

Male winners were John Wilson, Louis deReuter, Bob Graves and Bill Kinnear. The men’s scores fell somewhat below the ladies’ and ranged from 1,160 to 748.

Overall winner for the day was McLean with a total score of 1,169.

The Coldwater Shuffleboard Club plays Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the Coldwater Curling Club. New members are always welcome.

Fun Day

Thanks to all the members who took part in our “Fun Day” from all reports everyone had a great time.

Thanks to our members who took part in “Kitchen Duty” your efforts are much appreciated.

A special thanks to Bob Brown our chef who cooked the hamburgers to “perfection”.

To our “clean up crew” both in the kitchen and on the courts….Thank you !!!
